Stretching across 13 states and home to millions of people, the region is rich with contrast, character, and creativity. It’s where inventors, innovators, and many others, with their own careers and crafts, call Appalachia home. 

But too often, Appalachia is misunderstood or reduced to stereotypes.

We created Appalachian Disturbance to be part of changing that. Through apparel and handcrafted goods, we share the stories, hidden gems, and everyday wonders of the region we call home.

Appalachian Disturbance started in 2024 from a deep love for the mountains and the place we call home. What began as an idea has grown into something we now build together, Angie, Shirley, and Ryan.

We live here. And everything we make reflects that.

This isn’t just about products. It’s about telling a story. Every design and handcrafted piece is inspired by the people, places, and traditions of Appalachia.
